The presence of Daddy Longlegs (cranefly) usually means that the resultant larvae known as Leatherjackets (Tippula spp) will soon be eating away grass roots. Obvious symptoms of attack are grass slows with yellow patches and birds (particularly starlings) peck at the lawn in search of the grubs. September is the time to treat this pest with our “Nematodes for Leatherjackets”. Order in good time for mid-September delivery.
